Hey there, I’m Ashley!

Dreamy Mess has transitioned into a space where I talk about everything traveling, health, and fitness.

I work in Digital Marketing & am a barre sculpt instructor.

I live & work in one of the coldest states in America, South Dakota with a dream to someday move to the mountains. I’m obsessed with heels & wine with an occasional run in there every once in awhile. I striving for the goal of completely a half marathon in all 50 states with currently having 3 checked off the list (soon to be 4).

I never pass up an opportunity to jump on a trampoline or a tall glass of cold beer in the summer time. I have a passion for everything creative and a desire to view the world. I have a need to unleash these thoughts with others who share these same interests.

  1. Have you ever had vanilla ice cream in your hot chocolate? Good stuff!!! How is the Customer Trainer internship going? That sounds like a really cool internship. I have enjoyed looking over your blog.

    1. No, vanilla ice cream sounds like it would be delicious! And my internship is awesome. Stressful at points but I am learning A LOT, and that’s all that matters.

Thanks for stopping by & I am so glad you enjoy!!

  2. Congrats on obtaining your degree! It’s crazy, but even just by reading your about page, I can tell that you’re a very energetic and active person!

    All the best to you!

PS. The last photo is WAY too ADORABLE!!!! ❤

    1. Thank you! It hasn’t really hit me yet that I have graduated and in the real world…. and that was 7 months ago. Maybe it will hit me more once spring break rolls around and I have to work instead of go on vacation haha

  3. thanks for stopping by my blog! after taking a peak around yours a bit i think we are going to get along just famously! 🙂 can’t wait to read more!

    1. haha Thanks! Yes, your blog is adorable! I saw all your pictures you post and I was in love. I’m such a visual person and take an enormous amount of pictures all the time. Seriously… if there was a career in looking at pinterest all day, I’d be the first to sign up!

  4. OMGosh, I just realized you live in Sioux Falls! I’ve read your about page before, I don’t know how I missed that, but I just read your post from a while ago about your morning fruit being frozen 😉
My mom grew up in Watertown, and my dad outside of Aberdeen. I can clearly see, in my mind, driving along the river on the way from Memphis to visit my grandmother! What a small world, indeed.

    1. That is so cool! I actually grew up in Missouri but my parents are both from SD (Iroquois & Huron) so I decided to come to SDSU for college! I love it here but once the winter rolls around every year I kick myself for deciding to move here haha

    1. Ahhh, that is crazy Pandora isn’t available in Canada. It is honestly the most used app on my phone. Do you use Spotify? It is where I find all my new music! I love it but you have to pay to have it on your phone.

      1. Spotify is also unavailable in Canada haha. Canadian radios pay a LOT to artists and other music things (which is why it is LEGAL to download music for free) so for Pandora to come to Canada they would have to pay 45% of its GROSS income to our copywrite board. really shitty, but I mean, I can understand it. I use it’s ad free and its not too bad. Pandora is just better!

      2. Wow! I don’t know what I would do with out Spotify & Pandora. But that is awesome for artists in Canada! I used to use iTunes A LOT so I could hear the songs I wanted before I found Spotify. Do you have to pay for

  5. Ah, Ashley we were meant to be friends! I looooooove John Mayer. Even though that’s not necessarily a popular thing these days. I buy all of his albums, hard copy, just because that’s what I’ve been doing since high school, haha. I want to travel the world, too! Not sure where my next destination is, but I hope to take a trip some time this summer! Love your blog!

    1. Thanks so much & thanks for stopping by 🙂 You’ll have to keep me updated on where you travel to this summer! I absolutely love to travel but unfortunately haven’t been out of the country yet. My family is planning a tropical vacation for this summer so I am seriously soooooo excited!
